Search Engine Optimization
Search Engine Optimization means examining a web page and comparing it to other web sites that rank well for a certain key phrase. There are many factors that need to be examined such as keyword density, readability and how many links are pointing to your site.
Think of it like writing the perfect novel. A good
writer goes through his content to make sure it's easily
readable, says what he wants it to say, has the correct
grammar, spelling and syntax, and reads well as part of
the story.
I use software to analyze the content of a specific
page or pages on your site. It analyzes the top ten on
a specific search engine and gives me suggestions on how
to modify your web page to help it achieve high rankings.
It checks for a wide variety of factors that major search
engines take into consideration, including:
- the number of words on the page
- how many words are in the title of the page
- where and how often the key phrase is on the page
- how many other sites link to that page
- and much, much more!
