Jordan’s Creative Catering Concepts – this client had a functional web site that hasn’t done well in the search engines as the entire site was primarily graphic-based, meaning very little text that search engines could see. The challenge with this web site is he wanted something more modern looking and his logo was a cartoon chef, which didn’t match well with his current site. I kept the design and colors simple and it now seems to blend fairly seamlessly into the design.
I created a new look and feel, made all of the navigation “search engine friendly”, added more appropriate page titles, created an html, google and yahoo site map, and submitted them to the search engines. The chef had some amazing testimonials, which I chose to focus on by including a different one on each web page in the left column.
The site is already doing quite well in rankings with the small changes in design and site map submissions. He’s usually on page one of Google for his main keyword: “catering companies in palm springs”.
